Selling the Cottages

Here are 2 activities to encourage Key Stage 2 children to use their language and numeracy skills!

Firstly, explore the use of descriptive and persuasive language to encourage buyers for the cottages. How will they make their advert stand out from the rest? This will require some historical research using our website.

Secondly, test their maths skills by working out the area and perimeter of 2 of the cottages. Try juggling with money on the sales! They will need to have prior knowledge of percentages and numbers over 100,000.
