Children's Competition
Children up to the age of 16 were invited to send in their ideas about how the inside of the cottages
looked 250 years ago when they were lived in by weavers.
The links and images on the right were provided to inspire children who wanted to enter.
Two age categories:
- up to age 11 and
- age 12 – 16
Prizes
Up to age 11
1st prize £35,
2nd prize £20 and
3rd prize £10.
Age 12-16
1st prize £75,
2nd prize £40 and
3rd prize £20.
The closing date for the competition was 1 July 2016.
This gives you an idea of what the outside of the cottages looked like in the 1930s
